The evaluation criteria for the selection of candidates are as follows:
- The general grade of the First Degree.
- Existence of a second degree or postgraduate qualification.
- Research activity (other than the thesis/dissertation) of the candidate, evidenced by publications or certificates and attestations of participation in research projects, or any scholarships.
- Possession of a certificate of an equivalent level demonstrating a thorough knowledge of English.
- Evaluation of letters of recommendation.
- Professional activity of the candidate in private or public enterprises or Legal Entity of Public Law.
- Evaluation of the Interview Committee.
- Grades of academic titles and courses relevant to the subject of the Master's program.
Application documents are accepted daily during the period mentioned in the announcement, on business days and hours, at the secretariat of the Department of Informatics of the University of Western Macedonia in Kastoria or by sending a registered envelope (Contact Information: phone 2467087062, Fax 2467087063, email: msc-inf@teiwm.gr)
The evaluation of the candidate students, who have submitted the required documents on time, is conducted in three phases:
Preliminary Phase:
The Curriculum Committee checks all the required documents and reserves the right to request clarifications regarding the submitted documents and/or to ask for certification of knowledge considered essential for participation in the Master's program.
After checking the completeness of the candidates' files, they will be invited to an interview, about which they will be informed by the Secretariat of the Master's program.
Second Phase:
Subsequently, the Curriculum Committee of the MSc forms the ranking of the candidates by drafting a relevant list. The list of successful candidates is announced at the secretariat of the Department of Informatics with a related posting protocol. The candidate graduate students can submit their objections within 5 business days.
Third Phase:
After examining the objections, the Curriculum Committee drafts the final evaluation list. The successful candidates are asked to respond in writing within five (5) business days, whether they accept their admission to the Postgraduate Studies program or not. Failure to respond by a selected candidate within the aforementioned deadline is considered a refusal to accept. If there are refusals, the Secretariat informs the next in line from the success list.
