In order to be assigned a Dissertation, students must have paid the third instalment of the tuition fees and then complete the Thesis Assignment Application in consultation with the Supervising Teacher.
The Thesis should be in accordance with the Master's Thesis Template.
In addition, the Senate of the University of Western Macedonia in its decision No. 87/31-5-2019 meeting decided the institutionalization of the plagiarism detection service through the use of the plagiarism software Turnitin Originality Check.
All Academic Departments of the University of Western Macedonia should necessarily use the plagiarism detection service for the checking of bachelor, diploma, doctoral and other theses. The work should be accompanied by the relevant report (Originality Report) and then approved by the supervising teacher.
Finally, after 6 months from the assignment of the Thesis and if a Master's Thesis has been completed, an Application for Presentation can be made in order to present the thesis to a three-member committee.
